Personnel changes OK’d

MABTON – Personnel changes were approved last night (Monday) by the Mabton School Board.

Hired as an AVID tutor at Mabton Jr./Sr. High School was Martha Rivas. Ruth Villanueva was hired to serve as the administrative assistant to the superintendent.

Spring coaching contracts were also approved. They included Jesus Sustaita as the high school softball coach, Dave Mendoza as the assistant coach to that team, Scott Sexton as the head track coach and Jim Pillars will as assistant coach. For boys soccer, Ceveriano Garcia will be the head coach. His assistant will be Mike Davis. The junior high softball coach will be Christina Hernandez and Nick Sustaita will serve as the assistant coach for that team. Chris Cardenas received a contract to coach the junior high track team.

One resignation was accepted. Delia Cerillo will retire from teaching first grade at Artz-Fox Elementary School.

The staffing changes were approved unanimously.
