GRANDVIEW – Police in Grandview have made several arrests since last Thursday morning in a variety of incidents.
Last Thursday afternoon a juvenile male was observed unlawfully entering an apparently unlocked vehicle and taking a laptop. The victim, also the witness, called the police and directed officers to the suspect. The laptop was recovered and the suspect arrested.
Also last Thursday night a victim spotted four juvenile males near the victim’s vehicle, including one inside. Responding officers captured two of the suspects. They were identified as involved in the vehicle prowl and theft of a purse. The suspects were also linked to several other vehicle prowls in the same area.
Also on Thursday, two different males were arrested for shoplifting by Grandview police in separate incidents about an hour and a half apart at the same store.
Yesterday, Sunday, police also made two arrests after traffic stops. In the first incident a man was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and violating a no contact order with the passenger in the vehicle.
Police also arrested a juvenile driver yesterday after an officer recognized the driver. The juvenile was arrested on charges of driving with no valid license and obstructing police.
In an incident last Friday, a driver was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested when it was discovered he had a suspended license and stolen tabs on the vehicle.
Since last Thursday morning Grandview police have also handled a trespassing incident, seven reports of suspicious activity, a report of malicious mischief, seven parking problems, a DUI arrest, three noise complaints, an automatic alarm, a dispute between citizens, a traffic problem, two reports of domestic problems, a report of harassment and a court order violation.
In that time Grandview police have also served two court orders, arrested a wanted person and provided assistance to citizens twice.
