YVCC offers ‘Beer & Cheese 101’ workshop on Jan. 24

GRANDVIEW – The Vineyard and Winery Technology program at Yakima Valley Community College’s Grandview campus will be providing community members with a unique workshop on Friday, Jan. 24.

Beer & Cheese 101 will be instructed by Rachel Mercer, who will guide participants on tasting beer and cheese.

She will teach those taking the workshop about different cheeses, as well as the differences between different beers like lagers, IPAs and stouts.

Participants will learn how to pair different cheeses with beer.

Those wishing to participate in the 6 to 8 p.m. workshop must be 21 or older.

The fee for the workshop is $25 per person.

Registrations will be taken at the front counter at the Grandview campus of YVCC.
