Vendors sought for flea market planned at Compass High School March 1

GRANDVIEW - Preparations are underway at Compass High School in Grandview for a spring indoor flea market to take place on Saturday, March 1, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The market will be held in the school’s gym, 913 W. Second St. in Grandview.

Reservations for flea market space rentals are now being accepted at the school. The cost is $20 per vendor spot, which includes a 12x12 area with one table and two chairs. Vendors can bring additional tables and chairs as needed.

There are also four vendor spots with electrical hook-up for $30 each.

All together, there will be 30 vendor booths available, with rental proceeds designated for the Compass High School ASB. “We’re working towards a year-end trip to the beach,” said teacher Kim Gregory.

The Compass High School leadership class is organizing the flea market, which will be open to the public with no entrance fee.

Vendors will be able to set up their space on Friday, Feb. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. or on Saturday from 6 to 8 a.m.

The deadline to register a vendor spot at the flea market is Monday, Feb. 24. Gregory says vendors are welcome to sell any kind of item, whether it be yard sale items or food or crafts or even commercial products like Avon.
