Fencing stolen

GRANDVIEW – Police in Grandview are asking anyone who has recently purchased chain link fencing or may have information regarding the theft of several hundred feet of six-foot fencing to contact police.

The fencing was stolen from the 600 block of West Wine Country Road and reported to police yesterday morning (Tuesday). The fencing is valued at more than $2,500.

Police also said a CD case and several papers were turned into the police yesterday afternoon after being found by a citizen in the 300 block of Avenue F. Anyone missing such property can identify and claim it at the police department.

Yesterday police also started a theft investigation after juvenile males reportedly entered a back yard in the 600 block of East Fourth Street and stole a large bag of aluminum cans and some tools. The suspects are still at large.

Police also took multiple juveniles into custody yesterday after they were caught allegedly stealing food at a convenience store in the 200 block of West Wine Country Road.

Police also responded to a report of juveniles fighting in the 1200 block of Carriage Court yesterday, two traffic problems, three reports of animal problems, two parking problems, a citizen complaint, an automatic alarm and a dispute between citizens.

Officers, too, arrested a wanted person, fielded two informational calls, conducted a welfare check and provided an agency assist.
