Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health recently named Dr. Robert Doty its medical director.
Doty will oversee critical clinical procedures and services. In addition to supervising medical staff, he will serve as primary liaison to the medical communities throughout the agency’s service area.
Rick Weaver, president and CEO of Comprehensive Mental Health, is enthusiastic about the new hire.
“We are very excited about the mix of medical and life experience that Dr. Doty brings to Comprehensive. He has lived and worked in a rural, multi-cultural environment much like ours,” he said.
“He is energetic and brings very current and relevant knowledge and experience, as we grow into new areas and continue to bridge the gap between physical and behavioral health, he (Doty) will provide critical leadership,” said Weaver.
Doty earned a medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed psychiatry residency training at St. Vincent’s in New York City and was awarded a Public Psychiatry Fellowship of the New York State Psychiatric Institute and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons Department of Psychiatry in New York.
