YAKIMA – The Yakima Area Arboretum is offering a series of classes to help Yakima Valley residents learn the basics of birding.
The four-part series will be held each Wednesday, beginning Feb. 26 at 7 p.m.
Field trips will be taken each Saturday starting March 1.
Those taking part in the program will learn about the tools of the trade, including how to use binoculars, spotting scopes, field guides and birding applications.
The cost for the classes is $85. The fee includes a one-year membership to the Yakima Valley Audubon Society.
