Boulder Cave Day Use Site now closed

NACHES – Boulder Cave Day Use Site is closed for the remainder of the year for improvements.

Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forestry recreation managers are utilizing a federal highways grant to refurbish the popular hiking and picnic area.

The Naches Ranger District plans to update the day use site with newer facilities and enhanced parking areas. Improvements will include a new water system, new benches on the river trail and new bathrooms. The picnic area will have new tables with new fire rings and the existing shelter structure will be repaired. Recreation managers also plan to reorganize the parking lot to safely accommodate more vehicles.

No vehicles or foot traffic will be permitted at Boulder Cave.

The Naches Ranger District will re-open the Boulder Cave Day Use Site next April.

When the site is reopened, visitors can continue to either pay the $5 day fee or have a Northwest Forest Pass.
