Burglary, theft reported to Sunnyside police

Sunnyside police have since yesterday (Tuesday) investigated a burglary and theft.

The burglary report came from Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, located in the 500 block of South Fourth Street. Police investigating the call were told nothing was stolen, although evidence of a break-in was present.

A cell phone was reported stolen after a woman left it on the sidewalk in the 400 block of West South Hill Road yesterday.

Officers also responded to three automatic alarms, a reported animal problem, a fraudulent activity report, a juvenile problem, a loud music call, a missing person report, a parking problem, two suspicious activity calls, a traffic stop, a vandalism report and three non-injury traffic mishaps.

Sunnyside police officers, too, provided assistance to other agencies four times, a citizen assist and two welfare checks, as well as fielded four informational calls and recovered a stolen vehicle.
