Puppy, truck stolen by burglars

Yakima County Sheriff deputies investigated a burglary reported in the 4400 block of East Euclid Road near Mabton. The victims reported that a pit bull puppy, a game console with games and a Chevy Tahoe were missing after the break-in.

A resident in the 600 block of South Hill Road near Sunnyside reported last night (Sunday) to deputies that gang members had tagged his shed and set up a camp on his property.

Deputies also responded last night to a report of an assault in the 100 block of South Fisher Road near Mabton. An employee at a business reportedly assaulted another employee.

Over the weekend deputies also investigated two reports of stolen checks in the area, one near Grandview and one near Sunnyside.

Last Friday night a horse in the 2100 block of Sunnyside Mabton Road was reportedly attacking another horse, while Saturday morning a report of horses running loose was reported in the 400 block of Albro Road near Sunnyside.

Deputies also made a traffic stop early yesterday morning that nabbed a driver with a suspended license.

Since last Friday morning deputies have also handled four traffic incidents, three automatic alarms, a report of an animal problem, a report of a runaway juvenile, a report of a juvenile problem, two reports of weapon incidents that turned out to be unfounded, two noise complaints, three reports of suspicious activity, two disputes between citizens and a civil matter.

In that time deputies also fielded an informational call, conducted a welfare check, arrested a person for a court order violation and made a transport.
