Connie Lynn Visser

OBITUARY

Connie Lynn Visser, 53, of Sunnyside went to be with her loving Savior on Tuesday evening, June 3, 2014.

Connie was born May 23, 1961 in San Gabriel, Calif. to Albertus and Loureen (DeJongh) DeVries.

She received her early education in California, graduating from Ontario Christian High School. Connie then received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in business administration from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.

On June 29, 1984, she married Greg Visser at Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church in Sunnyside.

Connie worked as an accountant in the Lower Valley for Ivan White, Valley Ready Mix, Art and Ruth Denhoed, Black Rock Creek Golf Course and Bob and Judy Hall.

One of the hardest things for Connie, after her diagnosis, was giving up her position with Art and Ruth Denhoed. She cherished that job and loved the work she did with them.

Connie enjoyed quilting, boating and attending all church related activities, but the love of her life was her family. She truly cherished the moments spent with Greg and her two loving children, Alan John and Renae Lynn.

She was a member of Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church.

Connie had a smile that would light up the room and a giving, loving heart. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Connie is survived by her husband, Greg Visser of Sunnyside; her son, Alan John Visser of Sunnyside; her daughter, Renae Visser of Sunnyside; her parents, Al and Loureen DeVries; and her siblings, Brenda Grittes, Susan Kuipers and Jason DeVries.

A special thanks to Dr. Brady and his staff for the special care provided the past two years.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church.

In lieu of flowers, the Vissers ask that memorial contributions be made to the Memorial Garden Fund, c/o Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church.
