‘Sort for Cause’ set June 21-22

“Sort-4-the-Cause,” a two-person cattle sorting fundraising event held annually in Sunnyside, is set to take place Saturday and Sunday, June 21-22.

Money raised at the annual event is donated to three local charities, including Children’s Wishes & Dreams, Wellness House and Washington Hematology-Oncology.

Cattle sorting is a timed-event that pits a team of two riders on horseback to move 10 numbered calves from one pen to another in consecutive order, while keeping the wrong numbered cattle back.

Sort-4-the-Cause takes place at Speck’s Arena in Sunnyside.

The event is open to the public, who can cheer for their favorite sorting team.
