Visit Sunrise at Mt. Rainier National Park

CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN – Crystal Mountain invites people to discover the sunny side of Mt. Rainier this summer.

Visit Sunrise at Mt. Rainier National Park to discover unique activities at Crystal Mountain.

Enjoy a scenic gondola ride to the top of Crystal Mountain Summit. The summer season starts Saturday, June 28, and runs until Sunday, Sept. 21. The gondola is currently open on weekends.

Dine at the Summit House Restaurant after a gondola trip. Gourmet lunches and early dinners are available. Other dining options at the base of Crystal Mountain include Alpine Inn Restaurant and Snorting Elk Cellar.

While Sunrise is 1,000 feet higher than Paradise, the snow melts out more quickly due to more sunlight exposure. The Sunrise road to White River Campground is already open and the road to the top of Sunrise will open in late June.

Drive the Chinook Scenic Byway to see Tipsoo Lake and the Naches Peak Loop Trail. Opt for a visit to old-growth forests at Ohanapecosh. Immerse yourself in wildflowers and awe-inspiring views at Sunrise. Crystal Mountain is perfectly positioned as a summertime basecamp for exploring Mt. Rainier.

Other activities include horseback adventures and a 30-hole disc golf course.
