Windshield broken at auto shop

GRANDVIEW – Late yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) police responded to a report of vandalism at an auto shop in the 700 block of East Wine Country Road. An intoxicated man reportedly broke the front windshield of a vehicle at the shop. The suspect fled before Grandview police arrived, but was identified and will be charged, according to police.

Very early this morning a man also allegedly attempted to steal a case of water from a store in the 600 block of East Wine Country Road. The suspect was arrested.

Last night police also received a report of a vehicle prowl in the 300 block of Davie Road. A purse was reported as stolen from the trunk of an unlocked vehicle.

Just after midnight this morning residents in the 100 block of Deangela Drive reported a house was egged by juveniles. Police said there was no damage to the house.

Detectives in Grandview also recovered property stolen recently from the high school and identified a suspect in the case. The suspect has not been located yet, but tires and a roof rack were recovered during Monday’s investigation.

Since Monday morning police have also responded to five reports of suspicious activity, a report of a prowler, three disputes between citizens, a report of a juvenile problem, a noise complaint, a report of unsecure premises, two automatic alarms and a report of a hit and run accident.

In that time officers also provided two agency assists, arrested a person wanted by authorities, conducted two welfare checks and assisted a citizen.
