County deputies’ radio system study OK’d

YAKIMA – Engineering consultant services provided by Hatfield & Dawson Consulting Engineers for the purpose of studying the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office radio system were approved by Yakima County commissioners last week.

The firm will provide architectural, land surveying and engineering services to the county engineer.

Based on the study, a recommendation on the type and scale of communications system meeting the needs of the sheriff’s office will be made for current and future operations. A task order agreement between the county and Hatfield & Dawson Consulting Engineers was approved by a vote of 2-0.
