Grandview police called out numerous times this past weekend

GRANDVIEW – Yesterday morning (Sunday) Grandview police investigated a report of a stolen license plate. Anyone who sees the missing plate, B11154N, should report it to police.

This past Saturday police also responded to a report of a stolen lawnmower and weed eater in the 700 block of West Fourth Street.

Also on Saturday, a shoplifter took about $125 worth of alcohol from a business in the 600 block of East Wine Country Road. The suspect fled but was identified by a loss prevention officer and will be charged with theft.

An 18-year-old male was also arrested on Saturday on a charge of assaulting his grandfather.

Police also are investigating a report of vandalism to a video game inside a business in the 500 block of West Main Street. Money may have been taken from the machine.

Last Friday police received a report of a stolen vehicle, but determined the report was unfounded.

Yesterday morning Grandview police assisted with scene security when a vehicle left the roadway at milepost 77 on I-82.

Since last Friday morning Grandview police have also responded to two automatic alarms, three reports of juvenile problems, three reports of animal problems, two traffic hazards, four noise complaints, two reports of suspicious activity, three domestic calls, a DUI, a parking problem, a report of threats, a dispute between citizens and two reports of found property.

In that time officers also provided three citizen assists, conducted three welfare checks, arrested a wanted person, fielded an informational call, served a court order and assisted four outside agencies.

Police also responded to four reports of fireworks last weekend and are reminding citizens that possession and discharge of fireworks are illegal in Grandview. Infractions can result in fines as high as $500 and officers will confiscate fireworks.
