Local students graduate from WSU

PULLMAN – Washington State University has released the list of students who earned undergraduate degrees for the fall 2013 semester.

Sunnyside natives who graduated are Molly Elizabeth Dolan, Bachelor of Arts in digital technology and culture; William Paul Furan, Bachelor of Science in zoology; Kayla Nicole Rollinger, Bachelor of Arts in communication; and Casandra Ann Romero, Bachelor of Arts in education, magna cum laude.

Grandview natives who made the list are Juan Ramon Camacho, Bachelor of Science in kinesiology; Josefina Cruz, Bachelor of Science in nursing; and Ernestina Clotilde Fraga, Bachelor of Arts in education.

Prosser natives graduating are Debra S. Brumley, Bachelor of Arts in English; Ashley Elizabeth Edwards, Bachelor of Arts in education; Eva Rose Ann Petroff, Bachelor of Arts in education, summa cum laude; Abby Antonea Shepherd, Bachelor of Arts in education, cum laude; and Eileen Bott Sheppard, Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Also earning their degrees are Jared Matsen Spalding of Bickleton, Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice; and Jose Alfredo Mendoza of Mabton, Bachelor of Arts in education.

Honors earned by students include summa cum laude for a cumulative grade point average of 3.90 or better, magna cum laude for a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.70 but less than 3.90, and cum laude for a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 but less than 3.70.
