‘Direct Current’ concert series starts March 15

WALLA WALLA – The Gesa Power House Theatre in Walla Walla launches its Direct Current concert series on Saturday, March 15, featuring “bIG fONT” at 7:30 p.m.

The blues trio is from Walla Walla, and is comprised of Thacher Carter on guitar, Bob Johnston on upright bass and Val “The Don” Valiante performing on the washboard.

bIG fONT has a musical acoustic style that combines elements of blues, country, classic rock, jazz, swing and bluegrass music.

Direct Current concerts are intended for audience members, ages 21 and older.

General admission for each concert is $10. Tickets can be purchased online at phtww.com or at the door.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase during each concert. Identification is required.

Other performances included in the Direct Current concert series will be Whiskey Creek on May 10, Bizarre Love Triangle on June 7, Channel Cats on Sept. 27 and Dakota Brown on Oct. 18. Two other concert dates, July 19 and Aug. 16, are planned. Entertainment for those dates has not yet been announced.
