GRANDVIEW – Police in Grandview had a very busy weekend, making multiple arrests and handling a small spate of vandalism.
Officers were called out Sunday morning to the 300 and 1900 blocks of Wyant Way and the 1900 block of West Second Street by reports of vehicles having been egged overnight.
Also that morning, police learned about a graffiti incident in the 600 block of West Second Street and damage to the tires of a semi truck in the 200 block of Grandridge Road.
Early Saturday morning police also received a report of a rock thrown through a window of a parked vehicle in the 400 block of Avenue H. Early Friday morning a vehicle’s window was broken, possibly by a bb gun, in the 300 block of Avenue F.
Also on Saturday, a citizen turned in a purse that was left at a local grocery store. Police were able to contact the owner and return the purse.
Grandview police also made an arrest last Thursday afternoon after recovering a stolen vehicle in the 500 block of Cherry Lane. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Sunnyside earlier in the day. The driver and passenger were arrested but later released after conflicting reports of how the vehicle was actually obtained.
Police also made an arrest Thursday after a report of an assault in the 400 block of Stover Road.
Since last Thursday morning, police have also investigated a report of fraud, two reports of trespassing, three domestic calls, seven traffic incidents, three animal problems, three automatic alarms, seven reports of suspicious activity, a report of a court order violation, a noise complaint and two civil matters.
