The Sunnyside Arts & Sports Association (SASA) will host a series of sign-up sessions next week for youngsters who want to play in the organization’s spring outdoor soccer league.
SASA is wrapping up its winter indoor soccer league season this weekend.
Youths between the ages of 3 and 16 are eligible to compete in SASA’s spring outdoor soccer program. Practices for the coed teams are tentatively scheduled to begin the second week of April.
SASA spokesman Trish Combs said youngsters who sign up next week will be placed on a team, or teams that are already formed can register to play in the spring league.
The registration sessions are scheduled for Monday, March 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at C&H Trucking Academy, located at 340 S. Sixth St. in Sunnyside; on Wednesday, March 19, at the same location from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and again at C&H Trucking Academy on Friday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A separate sign-up session will be held in Granger on Thursday, March 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the KDNA Radio station office.
When signing up children for the outdoor soccer program, parents are asked to have with them proof of their child’s age (birth certificate, state ID or passport), as well as the $35 registration fee.
