Grandview cops investigate vehicle prowls

GRANDVIEW – Police in Grandview are investigating a small spree of vehicle prowls reported this past Saturday. Two incidents happened in the 1300 block of Rainier Street and the other in the 900 block of Zorada Road. Backpacks, a CD player, cash and speakers were stolen from three cars in the area.

Officers are also investigating a burglary report made last Friday from the 1200 block of Carriage Court. The victim, who was home at the time, reported a male suspect kicked open the door, stole a television set and then fled.

A car owner also got lucky after “warming up” a Ford Focus on the roadway early Saturday morning. The vehicle was stolen while unattended, but found abandoned and undamaged by Grandview police a few blocks away.

Early yesterday morning police also received a report of an ex-boyfriend breaking a bedroom window. Officers are investigating the allegation.

Since last Friday morning Grandview police have also responded to three noise complaints, eight reports of suspicious activity, four complaints of animal problems, a report of a traffic hazard, four domestic problems, an automatic alarm, a report of a juvenile problem, a dispute between citizens and three parking problems.

In that time Grandview police officers also provided three agency assists, conducted four welfare checks, fielded an informational call and provided assistance to a citizen.
