Medical credentials suspended

The Washington State Department of Health has suspended the credentials of certified nursing assistant Maria Lourdes Martinez, who worked in Yakima County.

Officials with the state agency say the suspension is in place for five years and because they say Martinez was convicted of second-degree identity theft.

Washington State officials say she stole a patient’s credit card, and made unauthorized purchases while she was working at an in-home health care provider.
