Recreational marijuana public hearing set for May 27

YAKIMA – Yakima County commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 27, at 6:30 p.m. on recommendations of the planning commission for amendments to Yakima County ordinances regarding recreational marijuana businesses.

The public hearing will be held at the Holiday Inn conference room, located at 802 E. Yakima Ave. in Yakima.

The commissioners will consider recommendations of the Yakima County Planning Commission and text amendments prohibiting the production, processing and retail sales of recreational marijuana in all zoning districts in unincorporated districts in the

county.

The public hearing schedule was approved Tuesday by a 3-0 vote.
