Water outlook remains strong

The Yakima Basin water supply is looking good for both junior and water right holders this irrigation season.

That was the report shared this past Tuesday, with the Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District board by Dave Bos, an assistant manager for the district.

The snow pack is at 108 percent of average for this time of year, he noted, and precipitation is at 103 percent of average. Bos added that the reservoir levels are at 114 percent for this time of year.
