The latest in summer fashions will be strutted down the runway by more than a dozen models this coming Saturday.
Sunnyside’s Sun Terrace Assisted Living & Retirement Community is hosting a fun-filled style show – especially geared for those nearing or already at retirement age. Besides getting to see the latest in fashion wear, those who attend the 1:30 p.m. style show will be treated to refreshments.
The clothes that will be modeled are fashions currently on the shelves and hangers at the local JCPenney’s store. It’s a great opportunity, said style show organizer Cheryl Larrick, for local residents to see up-close what the current fashion trends are.
Larrick said at last count 15 of the residents at the Sun Terrace retirement center have volunteered to model the summer fashions.
The Saturday, May 24, style show will be held in the Sun Terrace dining room. Admission is free, and all Lower Valley residents – young and old alike – are invited to attend, said Larrick.
The Sun Terrace retirement village is located at 907 Ida Belle St.
