Aguilar tops Mirelez with tiebreaker score in football forecast contest

It came down to the tiebreaker score again this week with T.J. Aguilar taking top honors, leaving Ray Mirelez as the runner-up in the weekly football forecast contest.

Aguilar gets to claim the $50 first-place prize money in the Daily Sun News and Sunnyside merchants contest.

Both he and Mirelez had just two misses.

Mirelez, who has had two first-place finishes this year, will receive the second-place prize of a three-month subscription to the Daily Sun News for his efforts.

There’s only three weeks left in the 12-week contest, but there is still a chance for you to win…just enter!

You too can enter each Tuesday in the Daily Sun News and in the Wednesday Sun News Shopper, and online at Just fill out the form either from the paper or online and you may be the winner.

Only one entry per person, but the whole family is encouraged to enter.

Entries must be turned in to the DSN office by 4 p.m. Friday for each week’s contest.
