‘Thank you’ to the community

FORUM

I would like to thank all of the organizers, volunteers, and participants that helped make this year’s Sunshine Days weekend a success!

A huge “Thank You” to Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce Director Pam Turner for overseeing, working, and being responsible for the entire Sunshine Days weekend, and bringing the SeaGals to Sunnyside.

A super job was done by board member Leo Leal at Fiesta Foods, his staff and Alejandra Bobadilla for running Friday’s Tailgate Party.

Thank you to SHS Senior Jacqueline Kranz for helping me out by volunteering to take over the fourth Annual Sun Run for her senior project.

Thanks once again to Francisco Guerrero and HAPO Credit Union for sponsoring the event, and helping us out because it was an early morning.

Thank you Amy Campos for all of your hard work with the Sunshine Days Parade.  Thank you to John Gallagher and Sandra Linde at Sunnyside Community Hospital for sponsoring and taking care of our royalty luncheon and gift bags for after the parade.

Thank you to the Sunshine Days Committee for all of your volunteer time spent planning and helping with vendors, activities, and everything involved with downtown events during the weekend.

Thank you to the Miss Sunnyside 2013-2014 Court, their parents, siblings and families for all of your service this past year to the community of Sunnyside.

Thank you to all of the 2014 Miss Sunnyside Candidates for your interest and dedication to the pageant and program. You are all winners in my eyes, and I hope that you all have great memories from the entire process and experience.

Thanks to all of the local businesses that donated to our raffle and pageant, my stage crew, and everyone else that helped us out.

A huge thank you to the Miss Sunnyside Board for their support and hard work to bring this yearly event to fruition.

Thank you to everyone for your support!!

/s/ Teri Alvarez-Ziegler, Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce president and director/head chaperone of the Miss Sunnyside Pageant.
