Personnel changes approved by school board

MABTON – Numerous personnel contracts were approved by the Mabton School Board last week.

The certified staff contract approved at the meeting was for third grade teacher Ernestina Fraga.

Classified staff who were hired were Genesis Herrera, a para-professional for pre-kindergarten, and IT specialist Tyler Scott.

Supplemental contracts approved include high school assistant girls soccer coach Cerveriano Garcia, JV girls basketball coach Nikki Sabedra, JV boys basketball coach Kerry Griffin, assistant wrestling coach Miguel Valdez, middle school head boys basketball coach Scott Sexton, middle school head girls basketball coach Chris Cardenas, middle school head wrestling coach Trevor Curtis, high school ASB general advisor Shari Brink, senior class co-advisor Andrea McCallum, junior class advisor Leah Suderman, high school leadership - interhigh Shari Brink, FFA advisor Randi Krieg, yearbook advisor Lisa Gorman, FCCLA and leadership extended time staff members Shari Brink, Mike Surmeyer, Brock Ledgerwood and Jesus Sustaita, head girls basketball coach Chris McCallum, head boys basketball coach Brock Ledgerwood, head wrestling coach John Kilian, head cheerleader advisor Melodie Griffin, middle school assistant boys basketball coach Chris Cardenas, middle school assistant girls basketball coach Christina Hernandez, middle school assistant wrestling coach Jesus Sustaita, senior class co-advisor Trisha Nash, junior class advisor Shari Brink, sophomore class advisor Larry Russell, band advisor Leah Suderman, FCCLA advisor Shari Brink and middle school advisor Trevor Curtis.

Marcy Roth, a special education paraprofessional, and head cook Sandra Hernandez submitted resignations.

Bill Roettger, facility advisor to the Mabton School District, announced he will be retiring on Jan. 2, 2015. He served the district for 31 years.
