Genealogical group plans research course

UNION GAP – The Yakima Valley Genealogical Society Library at 1901 S. 12th Ave. in Union Gap will host a series of research classes starting next month.

Cost for the six-part series is $25 per person. Topics will include internet research, genealogy software programs, census research and reference aids.

The research classes are on Thursdays from Aug. 13 to Sept. 17, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Registration deadline for the classes is Tuesday, Aug. 11.

The library is also open every Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. for those interested in doing family research.
