A project to convert maintenance and technology offices into an oncology treatment clinic received the green light from city building officials last month.
Sunnyside Community Hospital’s planned oncology clinic has an estimated value of $594,541, according to city records, and netted $6,084 in permit fees for city coffers.
The clinic, which lists a project address of 1013 Edison Ave., is scheduled to include five infusion bays, a private infusion room and a patient entryway that is separate from the main hospital entrance.
The hospital’s project accounted for nearly half of the city’s $1,266,738 in new building valuation green-lighted last month.
Other new building projects approved in November include a four-bedroom home at 1717 Liberty Lane, valued at $249,286, and a communications tower, valued at $350,000. Verizon Wireless is listed as the applicant for the new tower at 1875 E. Lincoln Ave.
All told, the 19 permits Sunnyside issued last month netted a combined total of $15,572 in permit fees.
Year-to-date, the city of Sunnyside has issued 376 building permits. The new construction has a combined valuation of $46.6 million.
Sunnyside has received $404,673 in permit fees through the first 11 months of 2015.
