SUNNYSIDE A home on South 15th Street features a Seahawks-themed lighted display that brightens an otherwise cold winter’s night.
Brad Denson, a diehard Seahawks fan, has completely turned his house into a salute to his favorite team.
He and wife, Wendy, also an avid Seahawks fan, regularly hold game-day festivities at their home.
Having painted his house the team’s colors a couple of years ago, Denson endeavored to find the right shade of green and blue lights to outline eaves of the house for Christmas.
Brilliant Christmas lighting on the two-story house welcomes his neighbors to have a happy holiday.
So far, he says no one has complained about his display.
“In fact a couple of neighbors have dropped by to ask if I plan to put up more,” he said.
Denson said his display is actually a bit smaller than in past years.
“I’ve been having a little trouble with the lights in my spruce tree, but I’m working on it,” Denson said. “I hope to have it working by Christmas Eve.”
The rest of Denson’s yard is decorated with lighted inflatable holiday figures including frolicking penguins and Santa and his sled.
Naturally, there is a giant Frosty the Snow Man. Even the goal post and the 12th man flagpole are covered in lights.
Editor’s note – This is the third in a series of four features on local Christmas light displays. Previously we featured the Lloyd and Sheila Hazzard home on Rossier Street and the Lynn and Deanna Potter house on Miller Avenue.
