Burglary, thefts reported to S’side cops

Sunnyside police have since yesterday (Wednesday) investigated a burglary and four thefts.

A business owner in the 200 block of SR-241 this morning reported finding his property burglarized. A window to the business was broken to provide thieves entry. Items stolen were not detailed.

Yesterday, 2006 Pontiac was reported stolen from the 700 block of Yakima Valley Highway, a female shoplifter was detained at Walmart and mail was reported stolen from a mailbox in the 700 block of South 13th Street.

This morning a vehicle in the 500 block of South Eighth Street was reportedly broken into and a wallet was stolen.

Officers have also since yesterday investigated two automatic alarms, four animal complaints, a domestic violence call, a juvenile problem, two lost property reports, a loud music call, three parking problems, three suspicious activity calls, two traffic problems and a sex crime.

Police, too, conducted a traffic stop, assisted a citizen, provided a welfare check and fielded an informational call.
