YAKIMA – The Yakima Area Arboretum has announced it will celebrate its annual Arbor Festival, “The Giving Tree,” on Saturday, April 11.
The festival showcases the benefits of trees, including the many uses of wood.
The free event will be held at the arboretum in Yakima from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It is a combined celebration of Arbor Day, spring, conservation and natural science.
Families can expect hands-on learning opportunities, crafts and displays at the event.
There will be free trees for 600 families to plant at home.
