Sunnyside juveniles caught with pot

Three juveniles in Sunnyside were yesterday (Monday) taken into custody after police were alerted they were smoking marijuana at an abandoned home in the 700 block of South 13th Street.

Just after 8:30 a.m. police say they investigated the report, finding a male and two females at the house identified by the caller.

The trio was detained and taken into custody on charges of possession and consumption of a controlled substance, as well as trespassing, according to officials.

Sunnyside police have since yesterday also handled an automatic alarm, two animal complaints, a citizen dispute, a harassment complaint, a juvenile problem, a loud music call, a suspicious activity call, a trespassing complaint, a prisoner transport, a reported sex crime and a traffic mishap.

Officers, too, provided an agency assist and two citizen assists, and served an arrest warrant.
