Sunnyside had a similar start in the other match last night against Othello.

At 135 lbs., Rubi Ochoa followed with a pin in 3:07 over Maria DeLeon.

In the 235-lb. weight class, Cassidy Ochoa wrapped up the evening with a dominant victory over Izzy Chavez, pinning the Husky in just 39 seconds.
Coach Casi Sambrano said he had to move a number of girls up to higher weight classes because his team was shorthanded.
“The girls did what they could, they did a phenomenal job,” he said. “Once we get everybody back it will be a different story come Districts and Regionals.”
One of Sunnyside’s final tune-ups before the postseason will be tomorrow, Saturday, at the Grandview invite.
