On behalf of Sunnyside Daybreak Rotary and the Sunnyside Summer Ale Fest planning committee, we would like to thank everyone who supported the first ever Sunnyside Summer Ale Fest last Saturday, June 27.

Despite the high temperatures, we had more than 500 people attend our inaugural festival and raised over $10,000. Sunnyside Daybreak Rotary will reinvest these funds back into our community by using those funds to support projects that will benefit youth sports and activities in Sunnyside.

This event would not have been such a success without the help and support of many people in our community. Throughout the planning and event itself, we were supported by volunteers, businesses and city government.

We especially want to thank our generous sponsors for their support...Yakima Chief Hopunion, Natural Selection Farms, C. Speck Motors, Upland Vineyards, Port of Sunnyside, Select Botanicals Group, Burrows, Sauve and Sons Farms, Mountain States Construction, Carpenter Ranches, Glenolden Farms, Hops Direct, White and Company, Perrault Farms, TJ’s Refrigeration, Bleyhls, Daily Sun News and Cliff’s Septic.

We look forward to an even bigger and better event next year. Be sure to mark your calendars for the second annual Sunnyside Summer Ale Fest on June 25, 2016.
