Personnel changes OK’d

GRANDVIEW – Several personnel changes were approved Monday by the Grandview School Board during the consent agenda portion of the meeting.

Hired as an English teacher at Compass High School was Adalyn Burke. That high school will also have a new special education teacher, Sherrlene Uy.

Linda Rodriguez was hired as a migrant after-school tutor at Harriet Thompson Elementary School; Brent Smasne will be the summer certified secondary math supports curriculum writer; Monica Gonzalez was hired as a school counselor at A.H. Smith Elementary School; third grade teacher Jennifer Lopez was hired to work at A.H. Smith Elementary School and Megan Foster was hired to work at the same school as a kindergarten teacher.

Also hired were ESL summer school teacher Kyle Gillis and McClure Elementary School developmental pre-school teacher Jane Tyrrell.

Additional summer school teachers hired include Jose Rivera, Sara Hollowell, Linda Rodriguez, Dianna Razo, Heather Cant, Celina Martinez, Yesenia Mendez, Ashley Sybouts, Theresa Radder, Aurora Cruz, Marisol Lara, Melody Hamm, Michelle Cisneros, Amber Shiels, Erin Schulz, Vickie Ramirez, Patricia Amaro, John Huebner, Tara Potter, Alejandra Chavez, Omar Moreno, Mackenzie Charvet, Holly Cozad, Glenn Braman, Rob Monahan, Edie Graf, George Graf, Andrew Penwell, Chad Bunker, Melissa Candanoza, Norma Morales, Richard Peacock, Tamara Brader, Stephanie Stanton and Juanita Hinojosa.

Resignations were accepted from A.H. Smith Elementary School Counselor Arick Branen and McClure Elementary School Kindergarten Specialist Jennifer Jones.

The school board approved the personnel changes by a 3-0 vote. Absent from the meeting were School Board Directors Tim Grow and Richard Van Kirk.
