YAKIMA – The Yakima Area Arboretum is sponsoring its annual garden tour, featuring gardens throughout the Yakima area.
Gardens in the tour will include “City Sanctuary” at the home of Darcie and Brian Roberts; “The DeAtley Estate” at the home of Pat and Al DeAtley; “The French Courtyard” at the home of Dottie and George Garfein; the “Garden of Love” owned by Renee and Michael Holwegner; and “Cottage Garden” on the property of Kathy and Ron Schumacher.
The garden tour is an annual fundraising event for the arboretum. It is self-guided and tickets are available at the cost of $20.
The Saturday, June 20, tour will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday’s tour will be from noon to 4 p.m.
Those taking part in Saturday’s event can also enjoy the annual “Wine Down” event at the arboretum from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at an additional cost of $15.
Tickets for the garden tour will be available at the arboretum beginning Sunday, May 24.
