Grandview woman faces drug, weapon charges

— A woman allegedly found in possession of drugs and guns on March 4 faced a judge for the first time yesterday.

Andrea M. Davis, 21, was arrested Wednesday by Law Enforcement Against Drug officers this week. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, sale or deliver of legend drugs prohibited and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

LEAD officers served an arrest warrant at her home at 853 Hickory Road on March 4.

In a bedroom Davis had been sleeping in, officers said they found a Gameboy case containing four baggies of a white crystal substance, two baggies of a black tar substance, two baggies of a powdered substance and packaging materials, according to court documents.

They also found prescription medications not belonging to Davis and a scale, as well as a bag containing ammunition and two firearms in the home’s drywall, documents state.

“Both firearms were fully loaded, including a round in the chamber,” a detective wrote in declaration of probable cause documents.

Davis told officers the home’s back bedroom was hers. She was allowed to leave before the warrant was executed and wasn’t arrested at the time, documents state.

The officers later tested and weighed the substances believed to be drugs. It was determined the baggies contained a combined 94.3 grams of methamphetamine, according to court documents.

The black tar substance, determined to be heroin, totaled 7.1 grams; the white powder was determined to be 23 grams of cocaine, documents show.

In the bathroom, another 24.5 grams of methamphetamine was located by officers, documents state.

Records show Davis has two prior forgery convictions.

Court documents name Rojelio Manjarrez, 34; Samuel Gonzales, 53; and Allan G. Searles, 50, as co-defendants in the case.

Searles is the only other defendant to have appeared in court. His arraignment was March 21.
