Daily Sun News office closed for July 4 holiday

The Daily Sun News will be closed Monday in observance of Independence Day.

However, the newspaper staff will produce a July 4 edition of the paper.

As a result, advertising deadlines for Monday’s print and e-editions, as well as the July 6 Sun News Shopper have changed.

This is the first time The Daily Sun has published an Independence Day edition.

The deadline to submit classified and display advertising in the Independence Day edition is 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.

Advertising purchased online must be placed prior to 8 a.m. tomorrow for Monday’s edition.

The deadline for obituaries for Monday’s paper is 4 p.m. today.

The holiday also means a change in delivery schedule.

Friday’s edition should arrive at the regular time, Publisher and Editor Roger Harnack said. The Independence Day issue will likely arrive early — possibly packaged with Friday’s newspaper.

For example, the Memorial Day newspaper published on May 30 was inserted inside the previous Friday’s newspaper.

The office will reopen 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
