‘Fa La La La’ – its school concert time

— The sound of children singing carols around the holidays is sure to get even the meanest scrooge in the mode for the season.

So where are the children singing? At a winter programs at most Lower Valley schools.

SUNNYSIDE

• Washington Elementary School winter concert will feature fourth graders preforming at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 at the school multipurpose room, Ninth Street.

• Chief Kamiakin Elementary School fourth grade winter concert will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 in the school gymnasium, 1700 E. Lincoln Ave.

• Pioneer Elementary School fourth and fifth grade winter concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 in the gymnasium, 2101 E. Lincoln Ave.

Santa will make a guest appearance at the school at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 16.

• Outlook Elementary School second graders will entertain their families at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in the school gym, 3800 Van Belle Road.

• Harrison Middle School holiday choir concert will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at the high school auditorium, 1801 E. Edison Ave. The choir will feature sixth, seventh, and eighth grade choirs.

GRANGER

• Granger High School winter concert will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 8,

• Roosevelt Elementary School concert will be at during school on Dec. 16.

GRANDVIEW

• The Arthur H. Smith Elementary School Christmas programs will be at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

• The Grandview Middle School band, choir and mariachi concert will be at 7 p.m. in the middle school.

• McClure Elementary School Christmas programs for prekindergarten, first and third graders will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 13.

• Grandview High School music concert will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 13.

• Harriet Thompson Elementary School’s Polar Express Sing-a-long will be at 5 p.m. Dec. 14.

• McClure Christmas program for fourth and second graders will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 14. The concert for kindergarten, fifth grade and Ms. Sylling’s class will be at 6 p.m. on Dec. 15.

PROSSER

• Keene-Riverview Elementary School’s second grade program will be at Housel Middle School at 7 p.m. Dec. 1.

• Whitstran Elementary School Christmas program will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13.

• Housel Middle School Christmas Band Concert is at 7 p.m. Dec.6.

• Prosser High School Christmas Band concert is at 7 p.m. Dec. 15.

You can also sing with your children at home. This year’s Christmas in the Valley special section includes “Songs of the Season”, a collection of Christmas carols. This section is inserted in today’s edition of The Daily Sun.
