Tearing down the Carnation walls

Demolition crews this week are making notable progress on demolishing the former Sunnyside Carnation plant at South First Street and Lincoln Avenue. Most of the walls are gone from the former landmark. Demolition, which was slowed due to additional asbestos found in the building, should wrap up this week or next. Visible at left is the red roof of the Valley View Market.
