WENATCHEE The Sunnyside girls swim team lost 43.5-141.5 at Wenatchee last night.
The Panthers’ Jordan Hartley and Charlotte Eifert each won two of their individual races.
Hartley tagged the end of the pool first in the 200 yard individual medley, clocking 2:18.05. Her second race, the 500 yard freestyle, was won in 5:25.90.
Eifert won the 100 yard backstroke in 1:10.46 and the 100 yard freestyle in 1:00.93.
Sunnyside’s Erica Linde earned a second-place finish in the 100 yard butterfly event. She touched the end of the pool in 1:20.05, nearly 8 seconds behind first-place swimmer Amy Graves (1:12.84) of Wenatchee.
Clarisa Calderon of the Grizzlies garnered a third-place finish (1:20.82) in that race.
The Sunnyside 400 freestyle relay team also earned a second-place finish. Brielle Newhouse, Morgan Gardner, Allison Davis and Kylah Bunch combined to finish in 4:49.22.
Wenatchee’s Hadassah Lurbur, Alice Eifert, Graves and Maya Velazquez won the race in 4:18.60.
Linde, Calderon, Davis and Newhouse also earned third place in individual races.
In the 200 yard individual medley, Linde finished in 2:58.84; Calderon tagged the end of the pool in 2:40.84 in the 200 free for a tie with Bailey White of the Panthers; Davis clocked 6:59.69 in the 500 yard freestyle; and Newhouse had a time of 29.17 in the 50 yard freestyle.
The 200 yard medley relay team for Sunnyside, consisting of Bunch, Newhouse, Linde and Davis, earned fourth-place honors, clocking 2:16.40.
Winning the race was Wenatchee’s Alice Eifert, Isabelle Dressel, Hartley and Velazquez. They combined for a 2:00.24 finish.
Sunnyside’s lone diver, Lia Anderson scored 129 points for a fourth-place finish.
Alyssa Laney scored 193 points to win the event. Teammate Aleah Bucknum scored 192.40 and Sophia Dillon scored 131.30.
In the 200 freestyle relay, Panthers Dressel, Velazquez, Mackenzie Mueller and Abigail Torres finished first in 1:56.48.
Grizzlies Gardner, Linde, Calderon and Arizona Rodriguez clocked 2:15.37, good for fourth place.
Bunch and Davis earned fourth and fifth-place honors, respectively, in the 100 backstroke event. They clocked times of 1:21.55 and 1:22.73.
Newhouse was the fastest among the Sunnyside swimmers in the 100 yard breaststroke race. She clocked 1:19.74 for fourth place. Gardner was fifth in 1:32.54.
Dressel won the race in 1:08.07.
The Grizzlies compete at 4 p.m. Tuesday against West Valley at Lions Pool in Yakima.
