Keyboardists needed

— If you are a keyboardist, here’s your chance to play the calliope for the masses.

As part of the 125th Anniversary celebration at this year’s Central Washington State Fair, there will be an old-time calliope to entertain guests as they enter the Fair.

Only one drawback, Fair officials don’t know any players.

The calliope, on loan from the Yakima Valley Museum, is a circa 1924 Harrinton Newtone Air Calliope, made in Kansas City, Mo.

Fair officials are looking for anyone who has calliope, piano and/or organ playing ability who might want to play at some times during the Fair.

If you are interested, call Tami Rennie at the Fair office, 509-248-7160.
