Granger woman hurt in freeway rollover

— A woman from Granger was injured near here the afternoon of Christmas Eve when her car rolled.

The 2:17 p.m. single car crash took place on Interstate 82 at the Zillah City Limits. Drugs or alcohol played no role, the Washington State Patrol said.

Emily R. Volz, 23, was eastbound in a 2001 Land Rover Discovery 4-door on Interstate 82 at milepost 53 when the vehicle left the roadway, rolled and came to rest in the roadway.

Volz was using her seatbelt, but she was injured. She was taken by ambulance to Astria Toppenish Hospital.

The Land Rover was totaled. It was removed by Hooked Up Towing.

One passenger in the car was Arlington Volz, age 1, of Granger. She was properly restrained, the patrol said, and uninjured.

Also not injured was passenger Theodore Volz, 2, of Granger. He was properly restrained and uninjured.
