Land sales approved

— The Wahluke School District will buy 20.47 acres of farm land with an appraised market value of $320,000.

The state Board of Natural Resources approved the sale yesterday. The district plans to use the land to expand its facilities.

And the board authorized the sale of two acres to the city of White Salmon for $17,000.

In other action, board members approved an auction for a 187-acre timber harvest near Gold Bar. In doing so, they voted 4-2 against a Snohomish County request to set aside 25 acres for state trust land.
