Portland to host cannabis conference

— The 2017 Cannabis Collaborative Conference is Feb. 15 and 16 in the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center.

The third annual convention and conference will focus on networking the business side of the growing cannabis industry, producer Mary Lou Burton said.

The conference includes what organizers are calling a “Pitch Portal” for entrepreneurs.

It is available at ccc-con.com/program/pitch-portal. It will give cannabis entrepreneurs to pitch business ideas to potential investors. The pitches can range from funding business ideas to financing equipment, Burton said.

Additionally, the conference will offer an All-State Forum, in which businesses, rule-makers and legislators from states that recently legalized cannabis will be provided opportunity to learn from established industry experts.

The forum will serve as a “roadmap” to facilitate the legalization of cannabis, highlighting the challenges of the industry and the solutions to these issues, spokesman John McIsaac said.

The conference will feature two full days of educational sessions with more than 70 industry experts, an exhibit hall with more than 100 cannabis-related businesses on display, and the Cannabis Investor Summit, with tracks for both investor and entrepreneur.

Registration is open now. Visit ccc-con.com for details.

The Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center is at 2060 N. Marine Drive.
