— Fiber artists from throughout the Yakima Valley will gather Saturday, at Sage Bluff Alpacas, 8401 S. Steele Road, for the farm’s seventh annual Summer Fiber Arts Festival.

The “Spin-In” is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Area fiber artists will demonstrate “fiber to fashion” techniques including spinning, weaving, felting, and knitting. Many will have beautiful selections of their creative work for sale.

Visitors will be able to tour the farm, meet the alpacas, talk with breeders John and Jennifer Ely, and shop luxurious alpaca retail.

Popular vendors of fine hand-crafted cards and jewelry will also be on hand.

Ely said visitors have an opportunity to meet and named the farm’s newest cria (babies) that have been born this summer.
