What in the world is happening to the nice green park like atmosphere at the Interstate 82-Midvale Road interchange?
We drove by there a couple of weeks ago and it looked horrible. The grass had been too long when it was mowed and there were piles and bunches of brown drying grass laying all over that area. Some piles looked about as big as a hay bale.
A few days later, we drove by again and the old grass and piles were still there, but the new grass was growing up through it. I really hope those big piles did not heat up enough to kill the grass underneath.
Doesn’t the lawn mowing crew for the city have any pride in their work? Don’t the managers and supervisors care what that area looks like? Surely, the Port of Sunnyside doesn’t have to take over the care of that area, again.
By the way, I don’t think I have ever seen the fields of the port look as good as they do this year. Keep up the good work.
