Knights boys topple Neah Bay

— Sunnyside Christian upended No. 1-ranked Neah Bay, 58-48, last night.

The win advances the Knights to tonight’s 9 p.m. semifinal against Pomeroy in the Spokane Veteran’s Memorial Arena.

Last night, Sunnyside Christian and Neah Bay were tied at 9-all at the end of the first quarter. The Knights forged a 2-point lead, outpacing the Red Devils, 17-15, for a 26-24 halftime score.

In the third quarter, Neah Bay drew within a point, but Sunnyside Christian widened the scoring margin with an 18-9 run in the final stanza.

Leading the Knights with double digits were Luke Wagenaar, Chance Marsh and Cade Bosma — scoring 18, 17 and 10 points, respectively.
